We loved the location of this place, it was walking distance from the ferry terminal and the bakery nearby had the best pastries in the world! The service was impeccable, housekeeping did a great job, and laundry facilities were available. The room amenities were top-notch, from ironing facilities to heating, and the terrace with garden furniture was lovely. We appreciated the shared kitchen and dining picnic area, and enjoyed watching television in our carpeted room.
Families would definitely appreciate this venue, but let's keep this review short and sweet.

We had a good stay at a picturesque lodge with a charming outdoor area. The central location was perfect, with a popular Dutch bakery next door. The high-pressure showers were amazing, and the well-equipped kitchens were a bonus. The book swap and well trained staff added to the overall experience. And let's not forget the comfy beds, ensuring a good night's sleep.

Nice to pocket and clean and tidy, budget friendly backpackers lodge. If you are looking for one night only and catching a next early morning ferry then this is a very useful and worth place to add in the list.

The rooms weresuper clean and cozy and the facilities were well-organized. The hot spa was a real treat after a long day of walking. We loved the outdoor seating areas and the next-door bakery was excellent. This hotel's location is convenient, with easy access to transportation and right near the ferry dock.

Friendly place.
Wobbly bunk beds. Very little movement from one person top or bottom would have the whole thing rocking. This could be fixed by attaching them to the walls perhaps.

Great atmosphere and really close to town. Gorgeous garden. The staff were very helpful and the girl at reception helped me book the Queen Charlotte Track (even got a $10 off deal for Cougarline). Really enjoyed my stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at this charming accommodation. The atmosphere was really nice and it felt like home. The kitchen was clean, well-equipped, and had a beautiful native timber table. The outdoor lounging areas were comfortable and inviting. The location was central yet quiet, perfect for families with children. The proximity to the bus stop, ferry terminal, and shopping area was very convenient. We also appreciated the presence of washing machines for laundry.
Everything was great, felt almost like being at home, with the staff being friendly and helpful.

Awesome courtyard area which encouraged people to come together and meet new people. As a solo traveller I found this to be so valuable
Basic bedding but you expect this from a backpackers lodge

The gardens are what attracted us. The Villa Backpackers has a beautiful outlook and surroundings, and is really well-priced.

Location good
Disappointed with facilities, a bit rustic, for price. Should be cheaper.
